3 ACTIONABLE DAILY HABITS TO ZERO-WASTE LIFESTYLE THAT YOU CAN START RIGHT NOW

It is no surprise that we create an enormous amount of plastic wastes and they're all over our lives. I admit it. It's convenient, lightweight, and cheap to buy.

But really though, considering how much time it provides us with convenience, a single plastic bag takes about 400 years to be decomposed. That's just too crazy.

I encourage you with these 3 actionable daily habits to the zero-waste lifestyle so we can save our planet earth and give a greener environment to our children. 

1. USE REUSABLE BAGS WHEN GROCERY SHOPPING

I know here in California, it's strictly followed by the most grocery stores to only use a paper bag or encourage people to bring their own. As a main meal prep chief in my household, I refuse to get a plastic bag anywhere even though they're free and I have quite a lot of stuff to carry. I always remember to bring my favorite grocery bag or I have several ready in my trunk for a last minute buys. It's been quite a long time now that I don't accept plastic bags anymore, my little intention to bring my own bag actually saves quite a lot of plastic bag. 2. REPLACE PLASTIC STRAW, WATER BOTTLE WITH REUSABLES

A little confession here. I was using a plastic straw to drink my coffee daily because I didn't want to brown my teeth. Now you've shifted your daily disposable items to reusable items, it's time to think about what goes into your body. Buying organic and seasonal food from farmer's market is not only with less packaging but it tastes so much better and good for you! In France, all restaurants have a guideline to use ingredients only within a certain diameter. In the US, we have an amazing shipping system that food can travel all over the country. If there's no demand, there's no business. Start using local farmer's market and local food and reduce buying a packaged food. Your small action inspires others and with little effort to do these exercise, we can make the world a better place!
